Amabhethri e-Sodium-ion enziwe ngezinto ezifana nokusebenza kwalezo ezisetshenziswa kumabhethri e-lithium-ion, kodwaama-ion e-sodium (Na⁺)njengezithwali zokushaja esikhundleni se-lithium (Li⁺). Nasi incazelo yezingxenye zazo ezijwayelekile:
